First thing—HOLY SHIT, MY NOVEL IS DONE. Wrapped it up today at 73K. Wowwww. *breathes* That's one huge thing dealt with, guys. It's so very raw and I'll need to edit the hell out of it, but it's there. And now I can get back to work/have a bit more time for shows =P (Last OUaT ep and Adventure of Space and Time, then CLASSIC!WHO. Oh, I'm so excited to start watching that again ♥)

Might pop back later for some Day of the Doctor thoughts (basically my comments to clara_who and justascrewup2's journal, cleaned up to be stand-alone. For now, a few links I found very interesting (beware of the spoilers!):

First, this article includes very interesting bits of a Moffat interview about the anniversary special—mostly centred on his approach of Billie Piper's part, but it also involves fun stuff about Moffat and RTD's working relationship, Tom Baker's appearance, Peter Capaldi's, and the latter's regeneration scene at Christmas. Loved it all!

This article INCLUDES SPOILERS ABOUT THE CHRISTMAS SPECIAL and the Doctor's number of regenerations. Don't read if you're wary of that!

XD I think Ten didn't care about wasting up the regeneration energy at this point
Yeah, I get the feeling he's firmly in 'this is the best I'll be and the next one will be useless' land by that regeneration. (Or he was the worst he'd ever been and the next one would be even... more... worse, depending on which shade of Time Lord Victorious he was.) Wouldn't he eventually have realised he'd use it all up and that he'd die for real, though? Or maybe he'd have liked that body to be the very last.

(Nah… the only place I can settle the Ten/Eleven encounter headcanon-wise is during the specials, what about you? No current companion, and it makes sense with the post-WoM Liz I reference. Only thing, it wasn't really lost!Ten there. But oh well, the rest fits.)
I'm thinking it's between WoM and EoT, too. Ten was neither as he was at the end of WoM or at the beginning of EoT, but I guess it could have been a long time between them, and he did seem more clear-headed (for lack of a better word) after seeing the Ood in WoM and maybe the running-from-everything!fake happy!Ten at the start of EoT was subconsciously remembering Trenzalore? /retcon everything!!

Unless Eleven/Twelve keeps it to himself for some reason (which is odd if he really wants to go home), she has to know, right? (And lbr, if he hasn't told her, she'll find out. Yup.) Unless 'silence falls', I guess.

Oh, I wouldn't doubt he did—it probably wasn't something he thought up to be used again though, just "emergency solution NOT GOING RIGHT NOW NOPE". Besides… not enough cut limbs. XD

Yes, I like that reasoning! :D Did get the impression that he'd been running a while between the two, and fake!happy!Ten would fit!
