Thiiiiiiis is a preview clip from the special THE ACTUAL SPECIAL YES! Don't watch if you don't want to be spoiled! I kind of watched first and thought later, but no regrets :D
LOL I almost said the same thing re: Capaldi and then went BUT NOOOOOOO ELEVENNN
Also stock up on tissues.
(Idk why, stopping midway through The Celestial Toymaker kind of numbed my enthusiasm, but I know I'll love it all over again when I get back to it ♥) I went through the same thing with classic Who. I watched A LOT and then lost the enthusiasm but then it came back again and I watched A LOT and then it went and now it's growing back. Clearly since it's happened to both of us it's a thing that happens normally. *g*
*hugs* Great minds ♥ Haha, I've got tissues, no worries ;) *sits surrounded with boxes* Great minds again! :D That's a thing that happens to me a lot besides, frenzied obsession moments and then long breaks and then obsessiveness again… Atm I'm mostly looking forward to ALL THE DOCTORS, but I know I have to get back to One all the same because I love him to bits and will enjoy the hell out of what's left of his era—I just need to get back into it for the glee to come back properly ♥
Great minds again! :D That's a thing that happens to me a lot besides, frenzied obsession moments and then long breaks and then obsessiveness again… Oh, that sounds lovely!(I'm going to differ here in that I'm super obsessed for a while and then it just fizzes out and doesn't usually come back.)
I just need to get back into it for the glee to come back properly ♥ Yes! I know I stopped watching Classic Who for a while when I started thinking about wobbly sets and ridic plots instead of rolling around gleefully in characterisation and such. XD
Oh, that sounds lovely!(I'm going to differ here in that I'm super obsessed for a while and then it just fizzes out and doesn't usually come back.) Ummm, both happen to me actually. Big obsessions usually last though. And it also depends whether the obsession fades on its own or it fades because I no longer have the time to feed it for a while (like classic!Who and icons atm, both of which I'm planning to get back to).
I know I stopped watching Classic Who for a while when I started thinking about wobbly sets and ridic plots instead of rolling around gleefully in characterisation and such. XD Both are cool! :D
ALL THE DOCTORS ALL OF THEM! (I'm looking forward to every single one, even Six with the eyeache outfit.)
And it also depends whether the obsession fades on its own or it fades because I no longer have the time to feed it for a while That's true! No-time has happened to me too.
(I'm looking forward to every single one, even Six with the eyeache outfit.) Whee! And Six's outfit... oh dear. I've grown to like it, though. Especially the way it clashes with his personality (or the traits that came out this regeneration). *g*

Just saw this on Facebook (The Doctor Who Hub) and thought of you, though I have no idea what the source is, nor what is actually official…
"Doctor Who Series 8/34 begins filming in December/January with 12 episodes due. We have been promised a full series in 2014, but a split of 6 episodes during 2014 now looks likely, with a Christmas Special in 2014 being the 13th Episode. Steven Moffat is currently writing the first episode with Peter Capaldi as The Doctor, and many stories are already handed in, ready to go and be filmed.
Peter has already filmed his first scenes as The Doctor for the 2013 Christmas Special, will return with Jenna-Louise Coleman as Companion, with Strax, Madame Vastra and Jenny also returning. It's possible we might get a Spring/Early Summer 2014 block of 6 episodes, with Autumn/Winter 2014, the remaining 6 episodes."
Oooh, thanks! That sounds awesome! I don't really care either way if it's split or not, as long as it's a FULL SERIES YAY. And if it's Spring -- that's really not as far away as it sounded from the beginning. If it's Autumn -- that's good too. XD
*waves hello happily* Me too! :D I've never known another way anyway, so I can't be like "oh, it was better before", and I prefer shorter runs beginning earlier ;) Spring sounds excellent too—if only! ♥
I started watching during Ten's series of specials. /o\ Yay for Classic Who, I said!
I thought S5 aired pretty perfectly, since it started at Easter and ended when everyone was home from school/on holiday in June, but I know Moffat's said he wants at least part of DW to air in the Autumn because it's not really made for summer... and I'm all for that, as long as he gives it to us at some point. *g*
