That's my first time watching eight episodes in two days, definitely and oh dear. I'd already loved The Crusade, but Space Museum was INCREDIBLE. I simply loved the plot. The Doctor and his companions getting a good eyeful of their own future, and struggling to prevent it—some inspiration for future paradoxes right there :D The plot was just great—some aliens that worked for me at last, but well, all humanoid. Guess the costumes take too much attention for the other aliens (though the Sensorites were good! More Sensorites-ish civilisations, please! ♥). I loved the constant anxiety of whether they were managing to go against their grim future, or actually edging nearer and nearer to it—and the resolution, with their four different paths having led them closer to capture and deadly danger indeed, but also having caused events along the way that got them saved in the end! Genius.

More remarks:

- Vicki thinks Daleks are friendly-looking. This made me go ROFL when I heard it first—but it's all the more delicious once we know they're actually coming back in the next episode! AGAIN! :D

- there's absolutely something going on with Vicki. I don't know if I'm having Clara-is-a-mystery vibes and overthinking things, but there are just small hints dropped here and there about what her time was like—learning madly at a very early age in The Web Planet, being a stranger to the concept of a classroom and now here goes:
IAN: Can you explain it, Doctor?
VICKI: Time, like space, although a dimension in itself also has dimensions of its own.
DOCTOR: So you know about it, child? We must have a little chat some time.

Maybe not Vicki then, but the time she lived in most definitely!

- Vicki was a boss, for the first time—that was also the first time she was left to her own devices, without the Doctor or someone else to look after her. And she prompted people to start a revolution! You go, girlie.

- Hartnelllllll. One is amazing. I LOVED Hartnell's hand-fidgeting and occasional, very slight stammer ♥ One was delightful as ever. HE HID IN A DALEK. I COULDN'T EVEN AND I STILL CAN'T. GHHHH. He was also amazing with the mind-reading machine, ahhh :) Such a clever thing, but he was much cleverer. I kept giggling at the images he sent to the screen. (Little plot oddity though: how did that man figure he was called the Doctor? It hadn't been mentioned and you can't see that on a screen.)

- it was fun to hear the team TARDIS being referred to as the aliens—everything is relative!

- re: Ariadne's thread and the matter of finding a thread:
(Ian tears at cardigan)
BARBARA: Well, you might ask. I mean, that’s a good cardigan.
IAN: Oh, er, sorry. Well, may we?
BARBARA: Yes, yes, I suppose so.

Cardigan < survival < politeness, lesson brought to you by Barbara Wright. ♥
…and Ian bit the cardigan in desperation. Oh dear.

- badass!Ian slaughtered me. "Killing me would bring nothing." / "Possibly, but it might be enjoyable." Ghhh. ♥ His anger when he found the Doctor half-frozen too. Feels.

Next comes Ian and Barbara's last ep… Oh my babies ♥

Ohh, I love these classic!Who posts! Make me want to watch all the episodes... And I've actually seen The Space Museum, come to think of it.

I loved One being clever and hiding in a Dalek casing... his face when he comes out! <3 And Ian and Barbara tearing cardigans and running around was so great.

Hmm... maybe something is up with Vicki? Didn't notice because I've only seen the odd ep with her, but you might be on to something...?

:D Glad to hear that! I'm really having great fun doing those posts—plus I love fangirling and sharing in the comments, and it makes me feel better about my new habit of livetweeting while watching, because I go back to the slightly messy tweets and organize them to get those posts =)
I WILL MAKE THE WORLD WANT TO WATCH CLASSIC!WHO. YES. [livejournal.com profile] a_phoenixdragon has just made my day by linking me to this Doctors tribute and GOD I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE THEM ALL:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=MJ_EHv4_vOA
Me too, OMFG! You can tell he's so pleased with himself and his craftiness (since The Dalek Invasion of Earth I keep calling him crafty), but it's actually very bittersweet because HAHA THE DALEKS ARE COMING BACK!
I really hope there's something about her, it'd bring something extra to the character and I'd be very eager to see that :D Well, you'll find out as I carry on… ;) Let's see, how many eps does she have left? Two there, three in s3. Plenty enough for good stuff! :D

Pls pls make all the posts! :D

That is a great vid! I may have asked before, but is there any Doctor you are most excited to see?

As the Daleks always are. Oh One.

ETA: Have you seen this vid? Great summary...

I will! :D Haha, there were so many things to say about The Chase. I just started The Time Meddler and randomly Googled the Meddling Monk because the name rang a bell and I was wondering if the various monks appearing in new!Who could be references, and OMFG HE'S A TIME LORD!!! Another Time Lord appearing already—I can't wait!!!
Ahum, anyway—will keep making the posts. (Though there might be fewer for s3, I only had a quick look but my impression was that there was a ton of missing parts? :( Idk, might put some episodes together if there's too little to say…)
Nope, I'm really excited about all Doctors. Before watching that vid you linked I would have joked that I looked forward to Six least because the coat is going to kill me. But the glimpses I saw of him were great too :D so THANK YOU FOR THE VIDEO! It was so full of epicness, simply smashing and I adored the balance between new!Who and classic!Who, all Doctors seemed to have their place in there (haha, I'm stupidly proud I can recognize and name them all by now when I guess that's the basics of being a fan…). It was just great. (Though I was a bit pissed when I realized there were regenerations, I kind of wanted to keep the surprise of how classic would handle that! :D It's okay though, I didn't see them all and I glanced away a bit…)
Re: looking forward to things: I don't have a Doctor I'm more eager to see, but I'm curious about some companions or characters in particular that I've heard about: the Master of course, the Rani and the Valeyard, Sarah Jane and Ace too :)
ONE. I just can't with him! He's awesome.

Hee! All the monks somehow having something to do with the Meddling Monk has been my headcanon since forever! *high five* (Note: I haven't actually seen him, and it is still my headcanon. I may have read like all the DW Wiki when I first started watching. Hm. ;))

Yeah, there's a lot missing... :(

:D When Six gets a good episode you can totally ignore the coat. (Tbf, Six's era is sort of infamous for having bad scripts. I did watch all of Trial of a Time Lord just to see the Valeyard, and that was pretty good!)

I'm stupidly proud I can recognize and name them all by now when I guess that's the basics of being a fan…).
Hee, again! I remember thinking 'I'm never going to be able to keep track of which one goes where'. Also I'm pretty sure there's still a part of the fandom which doesn't care enough to recognise all the Doctors (which is totally fine, ofc; if you don't care, you don't care), so you're way ahead!

(Though I was a bit pissed when I realized there were regenerations, I kind of wanted to keep the surprise of how classic would handle that! :D It's okay though, I didn't see them all and I glanced away a bit…)
Augh, no, I spoiled you! D: So sorry!! I barely realised that was in there. /o\ There's definitely more to them that that, though... small comfort.

the Master of course, the Rani and the Valeyard, Sarah Jane and Ace too :)
Oooh! Spoiler: they're all brilliant! ;)

*high fives back* Well, I've seen two parts out of four and though the Monk isn't bad at all thus far, it hasn't been mentioned yet that he's a Time Lord… =P I'm jumping on my seat there…
Reading the Wiki to make up for missing information is the clever way to go =) (I use the Wiki mostly to know where I'm going episodes-wise, make sure I don't miss any and know when the companions change—like I know now that there's very little left of Vicki, then that Katarina girl who lasts one episode, then someone called Dodo, with Steven still, and then Ben and Polly and REGENERATION. *screech of excitement*)
Awwww, I hope it's not that bad! Well, it'll take me forever to get there anyway… And good the Valeyard ep was great :D
Haha, you might be right ;) I like remembering though… *shrugs*
Nah, it's all right, you couldn't know and I was taking the risk of spoilers by watching the video in the first place… ;) I don't mind really.
:D Yay for brilliant characters!
