50th anniversary

Giving a minute of silence for the hope of any Doctor but Ten being back for the 50th anniversary special.
This is not supposed to be a fanfest. Absolutely not. Which is why Ten/Rose will be the only ones returning.
The team's choices are the team's choices, like it or not. Were the false hopes necessary though, I wonder.

Not really... Have you ever seen Mark Strickson or Mary Tamm? Hum hum... And heard Tom Baker's voice? *faints* (I've only seen a couple of episodes but what I saw really pleased me.)

Nope, I hadn't! I've only seen the very first eps thus far, with Hartnell ;) Thrill for the fangirl, but the episodes themselves didn't all catch me that much. I'm not sure whether I'll try and go on with s1 for the hell of it, or just pop here and there and try different Doctors and companions. Second sounds like the likeliest option…

You definitely should try the others. It's very easy to find lists on the Internet of the best episodes for each Doctor. The pace is slower, but the stories more intricate and the atmosphere often very well set. The companions are delightful AND it is a little bit more science-fi.

:D Thanks for the insight! I'll keep that advice in mind ^_^ Plus there are characters I'm already curious about, like Romana, the Master, Sarah Jane and Ace, so I might have a look at those first too…
