Classic!Who s4—The Macra Terror

Another nice ep, though it was only recons =) I'm liking that team!TARDIS more and more. The dystopia plot was quite nice, with the Big Brother-ish controller that turned out to be a giant beast. *snickers* It all seemed a lot too heavenly to be true at the beginning, and I really enjoyed seeing the team's reactions—the Doctor and Jamie wary, but Ben and Polly relishing it all, the luxury and being coddled. The brainwashing was interestingly depicted, with all the music/singing (cheerleaders going rah rah rah… Dear god =P), the voice speaking to implant its message in people's minds, the locals getting so WILD whenever the Macra were mentioned. It was interesting to see Ben fall prey to that, and entirely turning against his friends at first, then starting to struggle against it little by little. He completely turned into someone else, not even speaking with the same accent… Polly was nice too, though she did a lot of sobbing and screaming. Two's low, emotional voice at some times is a thing of beauty. Two as a general rule is perf. And I had nice Jamie feels, too ^_^ He's just so loyal and fierce and protective of his friends.

ALSO THE OPENING CREDITS CHANGED. WITH TROUGHTON'S FACE NOW. YES. I LIKE THIS. ♥

Fun lines:

Brainwash voice: "The sleeper must relax and believe. Everything in the Colony is good and beautiful. You must accept it without question." Sure, mate.

Two: "Dreadful. Did you hear that rhyme? The man who wrote that ought to be sent to the Danger Gang, not us." Oh yes he SHOULD. XD

Two: "Yes, I think that's right. I shall give myself ten out of ten." I giggled. AND THEN HE GAVE HIMSELF ELEVEN AND I DIED OF FEELS. PARALLELS.

Two: "Polly, confusion is best left to the experts. […] I can stand an operation on its head quicker than anyone." I love him.

Already started The Faceless Ones, a bit, and it's the last of Ben and Polly :D Though I like them better than I once did, especially with Two and Jamie, moving on is gooooood and then there's Victoria, and also I'm slowly pulling out of the nearly-all-missing period :D Yay for that!

On other news, I'm happily doing icons and just got 3K+ s7 screencaps to play with from a friend. XDDD yes. I've got enough for a while. *giggles*

Also writing is not happening… mmm. Sometime I'll kick my own arse and get back to it…
