I hate you. This is... the first time the Doctor ever lied to himself and to his companion as to why the running. From home, from stability, never toward something. Never thinking about the end. This is absolutely perfect. Susan's characterisation is so sweet here. You can tell how much she is like her Grandfather but at the same time so different. Missing people has a simple enough solution for her; go and see them, without letting the guilt get to her and stop her. I love it so much. The Doctor is so childish and guilty before her.
