Please excuse me while I go curl up in a corner and die.

(Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] angel1605 for bringing this to my awareness, along with countless other Capaldi goodness.)

Edit #1: I WILL have all of my gifs aligned.
Edit #2: Win.

Good. It's all I'm saying. I need to watch the Thick of it. Badly.
But I'm not sure fans will use that much the show when Capaldi will be the Doctor -nobody ever uses the magnificent shots of naked Freeman scampering around in Nightwatching to edit Sherlock's parodies.

Yes! I kind of want to do that too, which annoys me because I WON'T ;) classic!Who first, and then GoT and then Torchwood, probably. My watching schedule is full until I turn 30.
Thoroughly agreeing with you—for now we have months ahead of us in which Capaldi is mad, amazing, foul-mouthed Malcolm Tucker magically becoming our Twelve, but as soon as we see him BE Twelve (I don't know if regeneration could do it already, or it'll take the first trailers…), he'll just be the Doctor, never mind his previous roles…

Too many things to watch! That said, for GoT, there is always the books. I'd rather have a reading schedule though... And stick with it. Obsessing over one show seems difficult enough.
So curious about how he will be - that is one of the main reason I am not fond of Neil Cross becoming head-writer after Moffat; I'm not sure I enjoy his characterisation of the Doctor and don't want him to splay it on Twelve.

Re: GoT: I'd love to read the books before watching the show, but I don't think I'll be able to get my hands on them anytime soon :/
Neil Cross? I hadn't heard about that, is it a small rumour or maybe something more solid? He's only done Akhaten and Hide, hasn't he? I couldn't really get a feeling of what he'd be like just from that… idk…

Neil Cross penned Luther, so he is indeed a plausible contender as headwriter. And considering his episodes are one of the most appreciated... But I think it is a fannish rumour only.

Ah, rumours. I guess we'll find out all in good time! =P For now anyway, we still have Moffat…
